Here is the summary of key findings from our OFSTED Report on 14th February 2022

  • Behaviour, Attitudes and Personal Development are graded as Outstanding. Children are eager to explore and start learning. They listen well and respect other's choices. Staff use every opportunity to encourage children to think of solutions to problems for themselves, which promotes their critical thinking successfully. Children behave extremely well and demonstrate high respect for their environment, their own uniqueness and each other's differences.

  • Parents and staff work together successfully, supporting children's care and development. Staff seek good information to know what children can do and make ongoing observations to know what they need to learn next. Positive partnerships with both parents and outside agencies ensures children receive all the support they need to prepare them well for school.

  • An inviting environment indoors and outdoors, where children access a wide range of open-ended resources, make choices, lead and extend their ideas, and learn according to their individual preferences.

  • Strong ambition for each child's learning and development, focusing on children becoming independent learners. Children are highly motivated to learn and are confident communicators.

  • The manager leads a strong team, who work together seamlessly to meet children's individual care and learning needs. They have a good understanding of their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding and arrangements are effective. High ratios ensure good supervision for children and staff support children well in managing risks.

Here's what some of our parents have said about us:

We send out a questionnaire to our parents each year; here is some of their recent feedback on the following aspects of our provision:

  • Learning - Lots of choice, child-led and independent learning with good progress. A range of activities, that are stimulating and enjoyable for the children. Toddlers are nurtured into very independent children.

  • Relationships - Safe, family feel, approachable and friendly. Children recieve individualised care and are valued. Families are supported and recieve lots of verbal communication and feedback. A well balanced team of kind and warm hearted staff who make children feel welcome

  • Environment - Clean, tidy, safe and secure, accessible toilets and a variety of equipment. Efforts go into making the setting look fun, inviting and personalised on a daily basis. Child-friendly.

Parent and Child Voice

We have been developing our curriculum to include some of the following , based on parent and child suggestions:

  • Emotional literacy, mindfulness and yoga

  • Edible garden and growing foods

  • Family and community - visitors to talk about jobs, hobbies, talents with trips into the locality to learn about places, history, buildings

  • Outdoor Provision

Next year, we will be exploring some further ways of encouraging children to have a voice.
